Winter Retreat – The Six Perfections – June 8 to 14, 2025

by TBS information | Apr 29, 2025 | Latest News, Uncategorised

Sunday 8 June – Saturday 14 June 2025

with Jean D’Cruz

“The six perfections are the real activities of Bodhisattvas and practising them is the real way of practising bodhichitta”

Ven Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden from Path to Enlightenment in Tibetan Buddhism

You are warmly invited to join us for our one week retreat on the Six Perfections with Jean D’Cruz.  The retreat will be held between 8 and 14 June 2025 (including the King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday 9 June).

The Six Perfections bring greater clarity, resilience, and joy into your life. This retreat offers teachings, guidance, and meditation on these transformative practices.

The Perfections open your heart through generosity, bring peace and strength through ethical conduct, build resilience through patience, uplift your energy through joyous effort, cultivate calm and focus through concentration, and open your mind through wisdom. Together, they turn your aspiration for enlightenment into a life of meaning and compassionate action. In this retreat, you’ll deepen your understanding of the Perfections and learn how to integrate them into daily life. Whether you’re new to the path or looking to strengthen your practice, this is a space to immerse yourself in embodying these states — for your own benefit and the benefit of others.

Jean is a long time student of Venerable Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden, the Tibetan Buddhist Society’s founder. Jean played a key role in the publication of Geshe Loden’s nine Dharma books. Jean has also led teachings and retreats on a wide range of practices for many years.
