If you’ve enjoyed volunteering in any centre activities and you’d like to be part of shaping the future of the Tibetan Buddhist Society, you are welcome to join a team. The teams model adopted at TBS means that much of the decision-making, management and development of centre activities is distributed widely and worked out collaboratively.

Membership of a team is rewarding and fun and you can join either on a temporary or ongoing basis. Some teams have meetings and others catch up informally. The current set of teams (in aphabetical order) are:

• charitable activities
• community support
• communications strategy
• events and classes
• festivals
• garden
• newsletter
• property and maintenance
• retreats
• technology

The graphic below provides information about the areas for which each of the teams is broadly responsible. You can express your interest in joining a team, or find out more about it, by filling out the volunteer form, by calling the centre on (03) 9333 1770 (please leave a message), or by emailing your details to events@tushita.org and someone from the team will contact you.
