This year’s Easter retreat will be led by Martin Horan on the topic of Path of Serenity: Calm abiding. It is suitable for both experienced Buddhist students and newcomers. Although primarily a residential retreat, it is also possible to attend online or commute to the centre each day.

Please note that you do not need to enter any personal details merely to view the cost — choose how you will attend, the appropriate rate (standard/concession) and the duration of your planned attendance. Then the amount will appear at the base of the form.

HOW WILL YOU ATTEND?

The retreat comprises six sessions of talks and guided meditations daily, and three sessions on the final day. Sessions are an hour’s duration.

Staying onsite generally affords a deeper experience. If you prefer not to stay, you can commute to the centre each day, or you can attend online. Shorter-day options are available for commuting and attending online.

STAYING ON-SITE

Accommodation will generally be in shared rooms. Bathrooms are shared.

The payment rate includes accommodation, meals and all the sessions.

If you are unable to stay for the whole retreat, but would like to stay for a couple of nights, please email events@tushita.org While priority will be given to those staying for the whole retreat, if there are spaces available at the close of registrations, we will let you know.

As well as the standard rate, a concessional rate is provided for current recipients of an Australian Government Age or Disability pension, Jobseeker or Newstart allowance, or who hold a current Australian Government Low-Income health care card.

ATTENDING ONLINE

Online is offered via Google Meet. You don’t need special software or a Google account to use Google Meet on a desktop computer; however you will need to use an up to date standard browser.

To link in to a session, simply copy the URL we email you into your web browser, and press the Ask to Join button. If you don’t use a Gmail or Google account, you’ll need to type in your name as you provided it in this form. A volunteer in the temple will identify you from your registration and admit you to the session.

You can attend the whole retreat online or a reduced number of sessions each day. Please choose an online attendance option below.

MEALS AND REFRESHMENTS

Meals served on the retreat will be vegetarian. Refreshments will be available between sessions.

The retreat is run by volunteers, and we are unable to cater for preferential diets; however if you have a food intolerance that we should be aware of (eg, peanuts or dairy, or are diabetic) please describe it below.
