Yamantaka Book

Ocean of Indivisible Method and Wisdom Yamantaka book is a commentary on the generation and completion stages of the highest yoga tantra method of Solitary Hero Vajrabhairava. This dark blue-black Yamantaka, the wrathful emanation of Manjushri, the Buddha of Wisdom, was the main deity practised by Jetsun Tsong Khapa and has remained central to his followers ever since. It is the source text for our Wednesday Yamantaka Practice classes.

The practice is particularly relevant to our present time as one of its five specific features is the capacity to overcome completely even the greatest hindrances and negativity encountered during a degenerate era.

Part One contains a general overview of the practice of tantra and highest yoga tantra in particular. Part Two takes the practitioner through the sadhana and explains in detail the visualisations and methods of the generation stage, with particular emphasis on bringing death, intermediate state and rebirth to the paths of the truth body, enjoyment body and emanation body of the resultant union of no more learning.

Part Three is a comprehensive guide to the Yamantaka completion stage practices: the yoga of shape, the yoga of mantra, the yoga of commitment and the yoga of pure pristine awareness.

Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden has drawn on a vast range of authoritative sources with particular reference to the works of the renowned Yamantaka yogi-scholars Tri Gyaltsan Senge, Lhundrup Pandita and Panchen Losang Chokyi Gyaltsan.

The project was funded by the Tibetan Buddhist Society in the belief that clear instructions on this type of practice would be of great benefit to initiates. It is only available to those people with initiations like Kalachakra, Heruka, Guhyasmaja, Hevajra, Yamantaka and so forth.

Please note that this book is only available to those with highest yoga tantra initiation.
