New Year Meditation Festival
You are welcome to visit the festival site for guided meditations and talks.
The year 2020 was a challenging year all around the world, and so far 2021 has been no less challenging. Buddha’s key teachings on healing, peace, love, compassion and interconnectedness represent an opportunity for New Beginnings. While we can’t instantly solve all the world’s problems, we can develop our capacity to help the best we can.
Teachers at this year’s New Year Meditation Festival – Tara Sleeman left, Nick Sleeman centre and Andrew Christianson right
Tara Sleeman and Andrew Christianson, a new generation of Dharma teachers, will provide short talks and guided meditations. Tara’s topic will be Impermanence: Things Change, and Andrew will focus on Selflessness.
At 2pm Nick Sleeman will explore the remarkable mind of bodhichitta, an extension of love and compassion.
You are also welcome to join us for the annual New Year Blessing Ceremony, which will commence live stream at 12 noon from the temple, followed by talks by two notable speakers.
The festival was held on Saturday 27 February. Guided meditations and talks will remain accessible in coming weeks.
