Great Treasury of Mahamudra
This new title from Geshe Loden presents the essence of meditating on emptiness from various perspectives within the sutra and tantra systems. The views and methods of Je Maitripa, Jetsün Tsong Khapa, Milarepa amongst others are explained. With extensive translations of source material, it shows how to develop the mahamudra view realising emptiness of persons and phenomena, using meditation techniques from the perfection vehicle, tantra generation and completion stages, and from the six yogas of Naropa.
Path to Enlightenment in Tibetan Buddhism
"The book will go a long way towards making the essential instructions of Tibetan Buddhism accessible to a wider readership..." – His Holiness the Dalai Lama The Path to Enlightenment presents with exceptional clarity the remarkable Tibetan Buddhist meditations and methods for developing the mind. This extensive commentary is primarily drawn from Je Tsong Khapa’s Great Exposition of the Stages of the Path. It includes numerous quotations from the relevant sutras and great Indian classics. For those practitioners not able to come to teachings regularly a copy of this book is a wonderful way to stay in touch with the Dharma. It gives a complete presentation of the path and acts as an invaluable reference to remind you of anything you may have forgotten from the teachings that you have received over the years.
Meditations on the Path to Enlightenment
Meditations on the Path to Enlightenment emphasises the meditation techniques necessary to build a personal meditation practice and to develop the realisations of the Mahayana path. Meditations is an excellent companion to the Path to Enlightenment or a suitable stepping stone to that more extensive presentation. For those students working at establishing and maintaining a meditation practice at home, Meditations is the handbook you need. It sets out the way to structure a meditation session and then guides you through each of the meditations of the path to enlightenment.
The Essence of the Path to Enlightenment presents, in a condensed form, Je Tsong Khapa’s classic explanation of the Buddha’s teachings. The key topics of the Buddhist path are explained in eleven chapters. New material is also presented in this book, including an explanation of the twelve deeds of a Buddha, the six clairvoyances and the thirty-two major signs and eighty minor marks of a Buddha’s complete enjoyment body. This book is the ideal introduction for people new to Buddhism. It also serves as a concise review for those unable to tackle the more extensive presentations. Essence is the third of Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden’s path to enlightenment, or lam rim, titles and completes the series which provides an extensive, medium and concise version.
"I am happy to know that the essential points of these teachings are here being made available…by Serje Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden." – His Holiness the Dalai Lama The Fundamental Potential for Enlightenment analyses the potential for enlightenment from the perspectives of the two main schools of Mahayana thought—the Mind-Only school and the Middle Way school. Fundamental Potential is drawn from Maitreya’s Sublime Continuum of the Mahayana, the Ornament for the Mahayana Sutras and the Ornament for Clear Realisation. It clearly establishes the existence of the potential within each living being, thus the validity of the goal of Enlightenment and the means to attain it. Fundamental Potential contains the inspiring message that the basic nature of beings is clear, radiant, wise and compassionate and prods us to awaken to this reality.

Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden here sets forth the mother tantra, wisdom tantra, or yogini tantra system of the glorious supreme Dakini, the Venerable Vajrayogini. The eleven generation stages and special completion stage techniques of Vajrayogini are explained in great clarity. In particular, Vajrayogini's unique and most subtle body mandala is set out in extensive detail. These practices are set in the context of a comprehensive overview of the various tantric methods. The book contains new translations of the short and long Vajrayogini sadhanas, as well as a compilation of quotes from a number of tantras and authoritative commentaries.
The extraordinary meditational techniques of highest yoga tantra lead a practitioner most rapidly to enlightenment, where such realisation is seen as a union of ultimate meaning clear light and conventional pure illusory body. Within the secret treasure house of highest yoga tantra instruction, the six yogas of Naropa have long been held most dear to the heart of great yogis. The six yogas are presented as the yoga of inner fire, illusory body yoga, bardo yoga, clear light yoga, the yoga of consciousness transference and the yoga of forcible projection. They are the legacy of the great Pandit Naropa, and presented here as taught by the glorious second Conqueror, Jetsün Tsong Khapa. Success in tantric practice depends on the perfection vehicle, and in this presentation the six yogas are shown in the context of the divisions of the vehicles and the essential foundation of the preliminary practices. This book adds greatly to the body of tantric knowledge contained in Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden’s two previous highest yoga tantra books, Ocean of Indivisible Method and Wisdom (the father tantra of Yamantaka) and Path to the Union of Clear Light and Illusory Body (the mother tantra of Vajrayogini).
