Tibetan Buddhist Society - Perth Centre
Established in 1982 at the suggestion of Geshe Loden, the Perth centre has recently
completed a traditional Tibetan Buddhist temple on a twelve and a half acre property
at Herne Hill, in the Swan Valley.
Resident Teacher
Les Sheehy is the founding director and principal teacher of the Tibetan Buddhist
Society in Western Australia. Despite his active involvement in a number of
businesses, Les has taught at least two classes a week for the past twenty five
years.
Courses
The Perth centre offers a variety of classes.
Learn to meditate:
A day-long course Significant benefits of meditation on health, both mental and
physical, have long been established by scientists. During this course Les provides
a number of techniques to overcome challenges such as stress, depression and the
simple wish to experience greater fulfillment in everyday life.
Introduction to Buddhism and Meditation:
A five week course providing an excellent opportunity for new students to understand
the application of Buddhism to everyday life.

Path to Enlightenment teachings:
Sundays 4pm to 5.30pm
An ongoing class which systematically progresses through the lam.rim, or
Path to Enlightenment, text.
